NEW ORLEANS – Coast Guard Sector Mobile has established a security zone in the port of Mobile, Alabama, that will go into effect on October 24, 2016, for the transit of the cruise ship Azamara Quest.
The security zone will encompass 100 yards of the cruise ship as it transits shoreward of the Mobile Sea Buoy and within 25 yards once it is safely moored at the Mobile Alabama Cruise Terminal.
All recreational and commercial vessels will be prohibited from entering the security zone without express permission from the Captain of the Port, Mobile.
U.S. Coast Guard and local law enforcement will monitor marine radio channels for any concerned marine traffic.
